Romantic little Wren cottage is a fully renovated well appointed traditional Breton stone gite ideal for 2 people. Located in the heart of Brittany and nestled in the beautiful countryside only a couple of minutes outside the village of Gomené, Côtes-d'Armor,it offers tranquil high quality accommodation consisting of a downstairs open plan kitchen living and dining area and upstairs en-suite bedroom with double Louis 14th style bed. It maintains its traditional charm with exposed beams and character stone walls. The gite is within the grounds of our former farmhouse and bakery and whilst you will have full access to over an acre of stunning gardens with countryside and forest views your gite also benefits from its own private seating and BBQ area. Our heated swimming pool is also available for your use ( please be aware the pool is closed from end of September until  May). The fully heated pool benefits from having a heat conservation doom that can be pushed back during sunny days but can be left in place to allow swimming and fun to continue should you be unlucky with the weather. Within the gardens are numerous seating areas , a boule court, badminton, open entertainments barn with undercover BBQ and dining facilities as well as table tennis, table football and darts.There is also an amenities barn full of games, information, maps and guide books and a washing machine for guest use. The price is inclusive of bed linen and towels for in gite use (swimming pool towels can be hired). Wood burning stove and electric heating. WIFI.UK and French TV. The gite is self catering. If you're looking for a romantic bolt hole or a restful base at the end of a days sightseeing or activities we could be the place for you. We are centrally positioned in Brittany in a tranquil rural setting surrounded by fields and woodland yet only 10 minutes drive to the National Routeway N164 that opens up access to the attractions and sights that Brittany has to offer - You can be away from it all but see it all. Accessible from St. Malo and Caen ferries (1h15 and 2h25 respectively) and Dinard and Rennes airports (1h20 and 50 minutes respectively). We are within easy reach of historic towns such as Josselin and Moncontour, Brocéliande the legendary Arthurian forest at Paimpont and beaches are within an hours drive . Ideal location for sightseeing, birdwatching, walking, cycling, or just relaxing.
